Background
Lor was born to General Dru-Zod II and his wife, Ursa-Zod, in the 31st century after millennia of imprisonment in the Phantom Zone. Due to the nature of the Zone, Ursa had yet to learn she was pregnant and only continued her pregnancy when she, her husband, and their fellow Kryptonians were pardoned by the United Planets.Upon their release, they were sent to the old Kryptonian colony of Daxam under the red sun so to keep them from gaining their powers and becoming a potential threat. However, the general had cultivated a plan to get them off-world and into the light of a yellow sun, allowing the Kryptonians and Daxamite sympathizers to all gain their standard powers. but then relocated to a planet with a yellow sun the same sort of star that gives all Kryptonians their powers. With their birthright finally in their grasp, Lor followed his parents in their revolt against the United Planets in order to take the galaxy for themselves. They were defeated by the Legion of Superheroes and all but Lor were imprisoned. Lor was 15 back then, too young for the Phantom Zone. However, he wasn't too young to seek revenge as well as the freedom of his family. After some relentless attempts to steal the last known Phantom Projector, he'd finally succeeded in getting his hands on the macguffin... only for Lightning Lad the Legion to destroy it and close the portal, trapping Lor's parents and their full-grown allies in the Phantoms Zone indefinitely. bubble to travel to the past and assassinate Superboy, the one who inspired the formation of the Legion.That... didn't work.Lor, despite his careful planning and impressive anticipation, was able to free his parents only for the family to be thwarted by none other than the House of El, his family's greatest rivals.Lor was defeated, his father imprisoned once again in a new timeline, his mother had to flee across space to raise his new timeline counterpart alone, and he was sent to his death by Metron. At least, that's what Metron thought...Lor-Zod, in what should have been the last moments of his life, was pulled out of Mars by a strange source of darkness and transported across the space-time continuum. Seconds became days, days felt like years, and his mind would soon become filled with knowledge that spanned across the multiverse. He would eventually learn that the strange source of darkness that saved him was none other than the original Nightwing, an ancient Kryptonian deity that hid in the shadows across the multiverse.Another major event was Lor coming across a strange being that resembled a man, one who crosses the boundaries of time and space and bring him to his original timeline where there were no heroes to stop him from saving his parents and their people. With his parents free, his new identity as the Nightwing avatar, and a great debt he must fulfill, Lor would join his family in as they would search for a new home on their own terms.

The Nightwing
The original Nightwing was a Kryptonian Deity that was tasked by his father, Rao, to oversee the universe from the shadows. Initially, Nightwing was always alone, only appearing at night, but even then was not always seen as he was the silent darkness itself. However, after some talk with his brother, Vohc the Builder, he would soon be introduced to the Flamebird and the two would spark an eternal love for one another as mates.Vohc, being in love with Flambird himself, wanted to demonstrate his love for Flamebird by creating a statue in her image in order to impress her as well as create something that could last for eternity. However, Flamebird's duty was to destroy Vohc's creations in order to inspire him to create newer and better ones. Without hesitation, she fulfilled her duty once again, decimating the wonderous effigy made as a tribute to her.Vohc was heartbroken as he wanted just one creation of his own to survive, just for himself. He grew bitter, angry even. In his rage, he encased Nightwing's essence in Sunstone before throwing his greatest friend into the Phantom Zone. However, even as he was trapped for millennia, Nightwing would still find a way to Flamebird and vice versa, the two found a way to reincarnate themselves in Kryptonians in order to reunite once again. The latest reincarnation of Nightwing, is Lor-Zod. The latest incarnation of Flamebird, has yet to be seen.
God-Host Powers
Umbrakinesis- Lor's ability to manipulate darkness itself, solidifying it to move the shadows as powerful constructs that can rival the likes of the Lantern rings with ease.
Teleportation- As the host of the Nightwing, Lor can teleport through the shadows and access any location that holds darkness.
Pseudo-Omniscience- The Nightwing exists within the darkness, hearing every secret, every fact, every thought. Lor is able to tap into this exponential amount of knowledge.
Dimensional Travel- The Nightwing allows Lor to be able to access the Phantom Zone as well as other dimensions and realities where darkness exists. He is also able to trap objects or other forces in different dimensions such as incoming attacks.
Immortality- While Lor is technically mortal, the Nightwing's essence that surrounds him grants him immortality.
